Tahlia and Baxter wanted their December wedding to feel like stepping into a holiday card. With evergreens all around the farm and a heated barn waiting inside, Edlynn Farm gave them the perfect canvas for a true winter wonderland.
Planning the layout
Early in planning, our team put together layout renderings of the ceremony and reception so Tahlia and Baxter could see how their guests would flow through the day. Those drawings sparked their favorite idea: turning the covered patio into a "Santa's Workshop" for cocktail hour.
A Santa's Workshop cocktail hour
Before dinner, guests gathered under the covered patio to write letters to Santa and warm up with hot cocoa and cider. It kept everyone cozy, gave kids and grown-ups something to do, and set the playful tone for the rest of the night.
Deep greens, rich reds, and gold
The couple decorated the barn themselves with Christmas trees and mistletoe, and a festive vintage truck greeted guests as they arrived. Their palette of dark greens, deep reds, and rich gold with white accents was made for December, and Baxter's red velvet suit jacket tied it all together.

Portraits on the loft staircase
Wrapped in garland and lined with candles, the black-iron staircase up to the loft made a beautiful indoor backdrop for portraits on a cold December day.

Music all night
A jazz trio from the Kareen Kandi World Orchestra played through dinner, and BAM! Event Services kept the dance floor full the rest of the night.
